JEREMIAH HOUSE - SAVING GRADUATES DESTINED FOR FAILURE

SLAVIK IS IN THE MIDDLE - you remember him - sold to work in the fields in Kazakhastan - recently discovered crossing the boarder when coming over to Kyrgyzstan and back to Kaz. without papers - picked up by the boarder police and brought back to Tokmok - now in Chui Orphanage.  Here he is smiling after a great shopping trip to buy some new clothes - a donation from a donor who also cares!

He graduates soon!

MOVING FORWARD TO HELP MORE CHILDREN
Jeremiah House
TOKMOK, KYRGYZSTAN

Each year children are leaving the orphanages never to be heard from again.  The statistics are dim - children being forced into prostitution, drug running, crime and even trafficked.  1/3 of the youth leaving the orphanages after grade nine are successful - that means 2/3 are NOT.  Suicide is high among these youth as well.  (REMEMBER - YOUTH GRADUATE FROM THE ORPHANAGES AFTER GRADE NINE - THEY CAN BE AS YOUNG AS 14 YEARS OF AGE!)

We have so many youth we have worked with over the years who are getting ready to leave the orphanages - youth we want to believe will be successful.  Yet, the resources for them are limited.  They are often just sent to a technical school, where there is no supervision, inferior education and left without supports and encouragement to develop critical life skills.

We know we cannot SAVE everyone, but we can help by implementing strategies for the government and other NGO's to see that will give them ideas how they too might do SOMETHING for these graduating youth.  Jeremiah House is one of these ideas.  We have the experience to do this.

We need one thing at this time - funds to purchase Jeremiah House.  Capital funding only - we have a sustainable plan for the operations - we have potential staff - we have a church who will come along side of the project - we have committed people who will help in working with not only the youth in residence, but the youth who will drop in to the center.

So how much do we need?  $35,000.  With this we can purchase a home/residence.  We have seen the home - it is perfect for this  - two large apartments that have been put together and made into one large one.  Room for 8 residents - set up for EASY supervision - an office - very large dining room that will seat about 16 (this would be our training center/drop in center) - modern kitchen and bathroom.

WE JUST NEED THE CAPITAL FOR THE PURCHASE.  AND JUST THINK - YOUTH AGED 14-17 GAIN A FUTURE!

WE BELIEVE!
