LEAVING OUR LITTLE GIRLS AT DAYSPRING - NEVER EASY

 OUR BEAUTIFUL DAYSPRING FAMILY..
FAMILY BRINGS JOY TO LITTLE GIRLS

WHAT DO YOU DO?
People sometime ask what we do.  We cannot answer that question very well.  We have many hats and many roles in the work we do overseas; we do training, system building, humanitarian aide, development work, preaching, sharing love, attempting to bring HOPE AND DIGNITY to those we meet and yet we do even so much more.

Two of our registered organizations depend on us to support them and encourage them - The International Leadership and Development Center in Ukraine and the International Learning and Development Center in Kyrgyzstan.  We work with churches, NGO's, International Organizations, Govenment and local citizens to make the world a better place - by strengthening families and ensuring children are protected.  We are passionate about leadership training - activating and equipping people to use their gifts and talents for the glory of God - Ephesians 4:12.

Our motto - "Just show up and stop for the one in front of you."  sometimes frustrates those who do not understand the needs we see each and everyday.  Yet our team understands.

Our team is diverse and very talented in what they do...the Schoolers, the Wrights, the Pitts, the Gebeles, Buchmans, etc.  Each bring a unique role to the team - we sometimes stand back as their leaders and stand in awe of what they do and achieve.  It humbles us to be called their leader...when in fact each of them are leaders to us.

We cry a lot!  We pray a lot! And we ask for forgiveness a lot.  We ask to be forgiven for when we have passed by and we should not have  - when we were wrapped up in ourselves and missed opportunities.  We want more! The children are hurting....the world is hurting.

But mostly we look for a better world.  A WORLD WITHOUT ORPHANS.  We envision a time when the churches take hold of the responsibility to stand up for the orphans and widows.  We scream for time when complacency is of the past and boldness for helping and sharing is evident in all whom we come in contact with.   Sometimes we are tired of screaming - sometimes tired of pushing forward, but then we remember - the eyes, the smiles, the tears of those we have met.  We remember the cry of the orphan, the widow and know we cannot stop - for each day - each moment - someone is lost - and each day - each moment we have a chance to meet that one - to share a word of encouragement and to know they got it!  They have it!  HOPE AND DIGNITY!

So, what do we do?  Maybe you can tell US. .....or better yet - MAYBE YOU CAN SHOW US!
