REALLY COOL STUFF

Ruby's group in Perm, Russia.
Completed four days of training today.  This group of key professionals are ready to tackle the region and help workers who are helping strengthen families.
THEY ARE AN AWESOME GROUP!

TATIANA, RUBY AND VERA
Vera will be traveling soon and learning - bringing all back to Perm to move forward building a  Center of Excellence!  We cannot wait to see this POWER HOUSE OF A WOMAN move mountains to help families in crisis!

NOW THE REALLY COOL STUFF

UKRAINE TEAM NOW HAS CHANCE TO SHOW OTHERS - WHAT AND HOW....

Ed Dickson invited us long ago to come to Ukraine to train at a church and in orphanages in Krivoy Rog, Ukraine and long ago - somewhere around 2003 - , as we envisioned a training Center in Ukraine that would be serving across the country, we hoped for a Center that could be a Model of Excellence for change for helping children and others

At that time our focus for change was in Ukraine.  We hoped for the work of Lamb to grow into something that truly helped others activate their talents and gifts in order to help one another.  As time progressed, we saw change, heard stories of being helped.  The work of LAMb grew as did the stories.

We  began to build partnerships across Ukraine.  Things began to move fast and we could see so much that could be done and we had a team of nationals ready to go.

Finally came the time to formalize a Center and actually hire national staff to do this.  The International Leadership and Development Center (ILDC) was created in joint partnership with Father's House, Christian Broadcasting Network (Ukraine), the Institute of Human Services (IHS) from the US, and of course LAMb International.  ILDC was registered and the story continues!

Today, ILDC is a well known and accepted training and consulting organization for Ukraine.  Known for training that will help strengthen families, serve children, develop leaders, encourage pastors and church leadership, etc.  Well, very soon, ILDC will be visited by leadership from Perm - (Vera, pictured above.) to learn all about what, how, etc.  ILDC will be the model from which Vera will begin learning how to continue building her center in Perm, Russia.  Then we will invite Vera on to the US to visit IHS to continue her learning and develop a plan.

What exciting times for the work of LAMb.....activating and equipping the nationals!

BUT THERE IS MORE COOL STUFF....

Our team member Jayne applied for a grant to Orphan Promise, CBN in the USA.  To make a long, but extremely exciting story short that answer came at the end of January – YES.  LAMb International has received a grant to provide training in different locations as a pilot run.  Over the next 12 months, Jayne and Davie and the team will be working in Ukraine, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Armenia, and possibly Nicargua and Zimbawe taking tools into these countries to help workers, parents, church leaders understand and become more equipped to help children who have suffered trauma in their lives.

For well over two years, David and Jayne have been working on a trauma informed training curriculum to help workers guide families and for families to learn how to live with wounded, hurting children.  The pilot series has integrated some key principles from the work of Dr. Karyn Purvis and her team who have written the Trust Based Relationship Intervention materials. Their
work is amazing stuff!!!  TBRI is hope for children and families and we see it everyday.

AND EVEN MORE COOL STUFF.......

How about developing a Life Skill specialist for working in the orphanage?  Starting with one big orphanage we work with in a city near Tokmok.....BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO TUNE AFTER RUBY ARRIVED INTO KYRGYZ to get this story.  She arrives tomorrow.
